This tree contains only my blood relatives plus their spouses/partners. There are currently 41,522 individuals in my tree. My tree also contains over 100,000 images - census returns, BDM records & photographs etc. Only one image per person can be displayed on the attached individual(s) pages. If I have a photograph of an individual I post it on their page. I willingly share all my research - all you have to do is ask.

As you browse through my tree you will notice that I have a PRIVACY POLICY- see below.

Much of the research included in these pages has been done by myself, however like most family historians I have received very generous assistance from the wider genealogy community. In the early days of my research I failed to recognise the significance of the assistance of other family historians and did not attribute their assistance in the Bibliography. My belated apologies to those who have not been justly recognised.

Special mention must go to Robert Stead who has provided a wealth of information on my Stead ancestors, Stephen and Barbara Farrer who provided an extensive information on my Farrer family and Alan Shaw who provided information on my Bateson relatives. Alan Shaw's book A Bateson Family History provided many references.

The majority of my ancestors originated from the British Isles - Wales, England and Scotland. Welsh names are often not easy to pronounce, but you can get the correct pronunciation of people names from Welsh Names and place names from Sounds of Wales
