  General Notes:

The Newland Parish registers have apparently been badly damaged by rats. The first register for 1560-1667 has been badly gnawed away and so only some entries are readable, and the same applies to a lesser extent to the period 1670-1740.

Veracity of birth and descendants yet to be confirmed.

Maria married Philip Aston, son of Richard Aston and Joan Mayer. (Philip Aston was born circa 1655 in Newland Almshouse, Newland, Forest Of Dean, Gloucestershire, England and died circa 1696.)
