Warrandyte Historical Society Inc. have an interview with Bill Hartrick recorded in 1977 when he was in his nineties. In the interview he mentiones his grandparents (Tracy and Caroline) being licencees of the Warrandyte Hotel and his grandfather "clearing out to 'Tassie' with another woman, the pub's cook" He said the family never found out where the grandfather had gone until after his death. One of the family members went to Tassie to see what the widow's situation was, but she was left with nothing.
