THOMPSON John L, 80, husband of Dorothy Spiker Thompson, died Tue Sep 11, 2007 at St. Joseph East Hospital. Born in Washington, D.C., he was a son of the late Herbert and Grace Thompson. He was a retired foreman of American Tech and a member of Highlands Baptist Church. Survivors other than his wife are two sons, Jody (Debbie) Thompson, Georgetown, and Lindsey (Linda) Thompson, Campbellsville; two daughters, Jenny Bates, Mt..Vernon, and Melody (Bill) Rednour, Albany; a sister, Agnes (Don) Roden, Ontario, Canada; ten grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one niece and one nephew. He was preceded in death by a son, Kevin Thompson, and a grandson, Jesse Rednour. Funeral services will be 2pm Fri at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home-Main St. Burial will be Gap Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Monticello, Visitation will be from 12-2pm Fri.
